Happy Birthday 'Revolver'!

Fifty years ago today, global phenomenon The Beatles released their seventh studio album in which they titled 'Revolver'. August 5th, 1966 marked a very important date in the band's history as they released tracks including "Eleanor Rigby", "Love You To", and "Tomorrow Never Knows" which will all go on to be inspirational hits.

'Revolver' spent 34 Weeks on the UK Albums Chart and a total of seven weeks at number one. The Beatles used various techniques in order to make this a unique album such as classical string octet, varispeeding, reversed tapes, and close audio milking. Through these techniques and the creation of the album, automatic double tracking (ADT) was invented by engineers at Abbey Road Studios and further used in the entire recording industry.
