Purple Hatters Ball is a special celebration honoring the life of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman, who was a Florida State University graduate and an avid festival attendee at almost every Spirit of Suwannee event. We unfortunately lost Rachel in 2008 due to an undercover murder which happened while she was rightfully assisting the police department with a current investigation.
This unique event has been made in memory of Rachel, her family, and the silly purple hat she was always caught wearing. Purple Hatters Ball have definitely stepped up their game with headliners including Papadosio, The Floozies, and The Polish Ambassador along with many more killer acts.
