Prince Announces Piano & A Microhphone Residency

Due to the November Paris attacks, Prince postponed his previously scheduled Piano & A Microphone Tour which was set to hit a number of European countries throughout November and December of 2015.

Now, Prince has rescheduled his special tour plan at one specific venue, Paisley Park. Paisley Park is a special place for Prince as it is home record label studio and practice space located in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Prince built this establishment in 1985 in support of his record label launch supported by Warner Brothers, also known as Paisley Park Records.

Here Prince has recorded eight studio albums from 1985 to 1993, as well as performing a few showcasing events of his music. Now, you can see the renowned multi-instrumentalist perform two sets of a lifetime with only a single piano and one microphone. Prince will be playing at Paisley Park January 21st, 2016 with two carefully crafted performances from his 39-album catalog. The event is scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM followed up by a second performance at 11:00 PM.

A press released statement, “For those lucky enough to attend, everything about these exclusive solo performances has been carefully considered to deliver special once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The repertoire list will be culled from Prince’s vast 39-album catalog and each performance will have a unique set-list that evolves in real time song-to-song.  Fans should expect to witness special interpretations of well-known hits, alongside rarely performed B-sides and new never-before-heard material.”
