The iconic English virtual band, has confirmed the recording process of the Gorillaz' fifth studio album has officially begun. Damon Albarn of Blur with famous comic book artist and designer, Jamie Hewlett both make up the mysterious animated band responsible albums such as Demon Days and Plastic Beach.
This will be the Gorillaz first studio release in the past five years. DIY has released a statement that the group is aiming for the new album release to be in 2016. You can view some of Jamie Hewlett's artwork for the upcoming album on his Instagram page here.
